John Baird, MD
I am an assistant professor in the division of lymphoma at City of Hope, with a focus on lymphomas, transplant and cellular therapies. My prior experience as an investigator has focused on novel CAR-T constructs and immuno therapeutics in adults with B-cell malignancies (B-ALL and LBCL), with a focus on translational assays examining disease and product characteristics associated with therapeutic efficacy and resistance. My overarching career goal is to continuing building a better understanding of existing cellular therapies in order to inform optimal characteristics and design personalized therapies to improve response rates, patients' quality of life, and the diseases' natural history. My experience working with the BMT-CTN steering committee and protocol teams has represented an important opportunity to further advance the utilization of these novel therapeutics across the network.
