Aaron Etra, MD

Dr. Aaron Etra is an Associate Professor at the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center specializing in autologous and allogeneic bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell transplants. His research focuses on GVHD, its treatment and complications. He has contributed to several BMT CTN projects including the BMT CTN 2203 protocol committee (PTCy vs Tac/MTX/Rux), endpoint review for BMT CTN 1801 (correlative study for 1703 trial), the BMT CTN Biomarker Committee, and co-authored the update to the BMT CTN Infection Grading and Severity guidelines. In addition, he collaborates with the Mount Sinai Acute Graft vs Host Disease International Consortium (MAGIC) on the use of GVHD biomarkers for risk stratification and clinical trial eligibility criteria.
