Andrew Portuguese, MD
Dr. Andrew J. Portuguese is an Assistant Professor in the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Immunotherapy Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington School of Medicine. His clinical and research work focuses on improving outcomes for patients with multiple myeloma through optimized use of autologous stem cell transplantation, BCMA-directed CAR T-cell therapy, and other immune-based treatments. His research includes real-world and translational studies of CAR T outcomes, treatment sequencing, extramedullary disease, and predictors of toxicity, and he serves as a principal investigator for multiple myeloma immunotherapy studies.
